To all our St Anne’s Volunteers,
St Anne’s Seaford Parish is in the process of updating its policies and procedures. This is in line with the Child Safe Standards which require us, by law, to instigate policies to ensure the safety of all children within the parish, as well as ensuring the safety of all our volunteers.
We must keep up to date records for, and annual audits of, Working With Children Checks (WWCC) and Police Checks unless you have been volunteering for the parish within your group before 2007 when the National Police Check Protocols were introduced.
If you have commenced volunteering after this time, we will now ask you to complete a WWCC if you haven’t already done so.
We fully appreciate the time that you have given in the past in the service of our parish, as without your voluntary efforts our parish simply would not be able to operate. Please rest assured that these changes are to ensure that St Anne’s Seaford Parish are accountable and have the correct procedures in place.
