David White – one of our parishioners – is currently on his Charism tour with his colleagues from Emmaus College.
Fantastic day today. Visited Mt. Nebo (where Moses looked out over the promised land) which are the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea. Crossed at King Hussein Bridge into Israel. Bonus trip to Jericho in Palestinian Territories – another “can’t believe I am there” moment. And then – Jerusalem. Wow. Temple Mount, Mount of Olives, Garden of Gethsemane, Basilica of Gethsemane, Western Wall and finally Church of the Holy Sepulchre where Jesus was crucified. We were shown around Jerusalem by our guide and all current structures were related to biblical times. As a staff group, we also had a chance to share scripture. A magical day and looking forward to another great day tomorrow. Starting in Bethlehem, back to Jerusalem, tracing the “Road to Emmaus” and finishing the day in Tiberius.
