On Thursday October 12th we celebrated the 30th anniversary (1987 – 2017) of St. Joachim’s School at our special Anniversary Mass. At Mass we acknowledged and gave thanks for the many blessings that 30 years of St. Joachim’s School has brought to many students, staff, and families with the support of the parish of St. Anne’s Seaford.
It was great to see so many people joining our celebration including our immediate past Principal, Mr. Des Noack, our former Acting Principal, Mr. Pat Berlingeri, Principal of St. Anne’s, Mr. Rod Shaw and Ms. Deb Egan, Regional General Manager from Catholic Education Melbourne.
I also received a number of apologies from past principals and Parish Priests who couldn’t be with us on the day, but who fondly remembered their time at St. Joachim’s and wished us well. A special thank you to Fr. John, who as our Parish Priest and spiritual leader over the last 12 years, has had an enormous impact on the growth and development of St. Joachim’s School and on the faith and spiritual well-being of all in our community.
