What a week in Melbourne
Primer announced Road map out of lockdown on last Sunday. Some say it’s a road block! Of course there are some inconsistency with what is been proposed. Everything will become clear close to the date. As far as the parish is concerned our church could be opened on 5th of November, for double vaccinated 150 people. Hope we can resume by then. Let us be optimistic.
This week main roads in the city were blocked by construction workers. As I write this (on Wednesday) there are demonstrations going on in the city. Covid vaccines becomes a sort of mandatory for all areas of life. This will have an impact on our community as well. I am concerned of the parishioners who can’t be vaccinated due to various health reasons. It is not they don’t want but they cannot. Hope the government will come up with a plan for those who can’t be vaccinated.
Most of us were shocked on Wednesday morning of earthquake in our area. It was first experience for me. My house was shaking, walls and door were moving. First I thought it was wind. When I looked out of the window there was no sign of wind and birds were making notice. Then I realized it was earthquake. So far our parish properties are safe. I hope you are all safe.
AFL Grand Final
This weekend is also AFL final, though not here in Melbourne. We only can watch in on the screen. We are all disrupted with Covid 19 virus, that we can’t just do what we normally do. We wish both teams good luck.
Stays safe everyone.
