Another year is over in the life of the parish of St. Anne’s. Christmas is upon us and we can hold our heads up high. To all of you who come here regularly to make time for God in your life a big ‘Thank You’.
As your Priest I find you, the people who come here regularly, a constant inspiration. Your faithfulness and loyalty to God gives me great hope and sustains me when my own faith is challenged. I constantly witness your profound generosity, openness, honesty, integrity; in fact the list is endless.
You have privileged me by sharing your hopes, dreams, struggles and your faith and have allowed me into your hearts and homes. For this I am eternally grateful. Priesthood does not come with ordination. Rather it is shaped by the people we serve. You continually shape me and offer me new insights into the mystery and meaning of my priesthood. You give me new ways of seeing God in and through your lives. The sacredness of my priesthood I find in you and so I can honestly say that I am your priest as you continually form my priesthood in your image.’
Have a wonderful Christmas and may the blessings of God go with you into your hearts and homes.
With sincere gratitude and deepest respect,
