At a time when parishes are seeking to rebuild and renew their liturgical life, the ACU Centre for Liturgy is proud to announce the launch of a comprehensive online Liturgy Training Program for Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion.

Supported by the Bishops’ Commission for Liturgy, this engaging multimedia program offers an attractive and contemporary learning experience for liturgical ministers.  It enables all communities, especially those with fewer resources or who are isolated, to access quality liturgical formation easily.

Enrolments are being accepted for the next program which will start on: 27 April 2022. The program will run at various times throughout the year.

This engaging 5-week online program includes weekly Zoom classes and many enjoyable interactive elements. In addition to the practical training needed for this ministry, it provides formation on the history and theology of the Eucharist and ministry.  Participants independently observe and engage with their local community throughout the program which culminates in a local training session.

The ACU Centre for Liturgy has used its knowledge, technical capabilities, and educational expertise to provide this locally made program available on a national scale.  The ACU Centre for Liturgy is endorsed by Australian Catholic Bishops Conference as a national centre for liturgical formation in Australia.

Further details of this exciting new program can be found online at:  www.acu.edu.au/centreforliturgy/pastoral-training

If you have any questions about this program or how the ACU Centre for Liturgy can support your work in liturgy and sacraments in other ways, please do not hesitate to contact the Centre’s friendly staff at CentreforLiturgy@acu.edu.au and we will be happy to help you.
