Some of you are aware that I belong to a Secular Order of priests founded in Canada.
We are six priests in the Melbourne Archdiocese and three in the Sale diocese. Four families in Victoria. IVD is a Secular Institute of Pontifical Right and members include priests, celibate laymen, married couples and spiritually affiliated persons. The institute was founded by Fr. Louis-Marie Parent, O.M.I in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada on 2nd July 1958, and now has its presence in 23 countries including Australia. Our annual feast day is celebrated on the Feast of the Annunciation; when the archangel Gabriel appeared to Our Lady with the message that she would be the mother of Jesus.
This year, our IVD Feast Day will be celebrated in St. Mary’s McKillop Church in Bannockburn, Vic, on Monday 13th March. 11.00am. Mass will be celebrated by our Superior Fr.
