Dear parishioners,
Phase one being the eviction of possums has been achieved. The air quality of the church has been tested by an independent laboratory and found that no exposure risk was identified.
Phase two involves the works that need to be done in relation to the inner liner and cleaning and painting of the sanctuary wall. Discussions are taking place with various companies with a view to gaining the necessary information to best proceed with these tasks. The painting company has painted a small portion of the inner liner (above the confessional) to see how it would look like if we proceed with painting.
So please let us know what you think. You can speak to Building committee members; Jeff Harvey 0412 550 740, Peter Vyverberg 0432 120 704, Kevin Burke kjburke@bigpond.com and Julie Swanson or call/email the parish. Please let us by Wednesday 21st September. We have to finalise things as soon as possible
Next phase of the work involves removing and re-installing of the pews and the hiring and erection of mobile scaffolding. Painting inner liner and sanctuary wall, safety fence around the pool. It is anticipated that the total cost will be in the region of $100,000.
